The Department of Journalism at Women University Swabi was established in 2017. In alignment with the University's mission and vision, the Department is committed to academic excellence and professional relevance in society. The primary goal behind its establishment is to bridge the gap between the supply and demand of journalism professionals among females in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and to develop journalism as a leading academic discipline in the region.Currently, the Department offers a four-year BS Journalism program. Plans are underway to launch Certificate and Diploma programs soon.Additionally, the Department intends to introduce an M.Phil. in Journalism, a one-year Diploma, and a six-month Certificate program to further strengthen the field of journalism in the region.Over the past few years, the Department has organized numerous workshops, seminars, and media training sessions for students. Looking ahead, the Department aims to establish a Campus Radio and TV Station. Experienced and media-savvy faculty members are dedicated to supporting and advancing the University's mission and vision.
