Department of Health Informatics

Introduction

The Department of Health Informatics at Women University Swabi was established in Fall 2020. It offers a BS program to meet the growing national and international demand for professionals who can bridge healthcare and information technology. The department aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to manage health data, support healthcare decision-making, and contribute to advancements in medical technology.

Vision

To be nationally and internationally recognized for producing health informatics professionals who uphold lifelong learning, innovation, and ethical practices in the rapidly evolving healthcare technology sector.

Mission

To educate and train students in managing and analyzing health data, ensuring the accessibility, accuracy, and integrity of information systems used in healthcare organizations.

Objectives

• Provide a platform for female students to pursue higher education in Health Informatics.
• Promote interdisciplinary collaboration between health and IT sectors.
• Organize seminars and workshops to promote research and innovation.
• Prepare graduates for careers in healthcare management, research, and data analysis.
